Inside Line Promotions – BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports registered a top-five finish during the 45th annual DIRTcar Nationals last week at Volusia Speedway Park.

Danny Lasoski guided the Muddy backed team to a fourth-place result last Thursday at the high-speed track during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition.

“We are just a little off when the race track is glass slick,” he said. “We took off and Jason Johnson was setting a good pace on the top. We fell in behind him and was running second for a long time. When the top was going away we started working the middle. Then (Donny Schatz) and (Dale Blaney) got rolling really well through there and got by us.”

It was the strongest performance of the week for the Big Game Motorsports team, which had qualified 12th quickest overall and won a heat race and the dash prior to the 30-lap feature.

The DIRTcar Nationals began the previous night with the All Stars. Lasoski timed in 17th quickest during qualifying, but the team ran into a mechanical failure during a heat race. Lasoski was unable to finish and the team elected not to start the B Main.

Following Thursday’s strong outing, Lasoski and the Muddy sponsored team faced three straight World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races beginning on Friday at Volusia Speedway Park.

“We didn’t have our qualifying where it needs to be,” he said. “With the Outlaws new format you have to start on the front row of a heat race and we weren’t able to get in that position. Then I had to run two B Mains, which I don’t normally have to do. I know how hard Guy (Forbrook) works and all these guys have worked with their heart and soul. The results didn’t show for it.”

Lasoski placed 13th, 18th and 20th, respectively, during the World of Outlaws portion of the DIRTcar Nationals.

“I call it frustrating,” he said. “Tod Quiring has put together a phenomenal race team. The whole week down there only one time did we show a glimpse of success. I’m not happy. We’re going to work hard to get back on the right track before we show up in Las Vegas.”

Big Game Motorsports will return to competition March 3-4 at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
