Toyota's USAC Contingency Continues in 2016

Contingency postings of nearly $125,000 have been posted for the 2016 USAC racing season by Toyota Racing Development (TRD), USA, in conjunction with Toyota Motor Sales, USA. For the 11th consecutive year, they will be offering cash contingency award payments to Toyota-powered team owners competing in select USAC divisions. Included are the Silver Crown, National Midget and Western Midget Series.

Award payments are made to both the 1st and 2nd highest finishing Toyota-powered teams finishing in the top-5 of every A-Main feature in all three series. Awards also are paid to Toyota teams who set fast qualifying time at each eligible event. And finally, TRD will pay an award to any Toyota-powered team winning the year-end drivers’ championship in each of the three series.

Cash payout amounts are as follows:

USAC Silver Crown: 1st Toyota-$2,500, 2nd Toyota-$1,000, Fast qualifier-$1,000, Champion-$5,000

USAC National Midget: 1st Toyota-$500, 2nd Toyota-$250, Fast qualifier-$250, Champion-$2,500

USAC Western Midget: 1st Toyota-$500, 2nd Toyota-$250, Fast qualifier-$250, Champion-$2,500

Toyota-powered team owners must register in advance and comply with all program rules. A packet containing the 2016 program rules, registration form and claim forms can be requested by sending an email to Gary Reed at gary@raceprogramsmanagement.com.

In 2015 Toyota victories included more than a dozen National Midget wins and the National Midget Car Owner Championship.
