Brooke Tatnell moved a step closer to winning his 6th Australian Sprintcar Championship as he won the first prelim night at Premier Speedway.
The big boys have risen to the top with both Kerry Madsen and reigning champion David Murcott sitting on the podium.
Grant Anderson led for a majority of the night before slowly getting picked off by the top 3 drivers. Luke Dillon who started pole was also running well before cutting a tyre down.
On to night 2 tomorrow night where another group of 50 drivers will run and finally onto the main event on Sunday night.
