Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Jan. 26, 2016) – The GOMUDDY.COM National Sprint League 360 Series will usher in a fresh opportunity for 360ci winged sprint car competitors when the inaugural season begins in less than two months.

The series has a unique format to determine the national champion as well as drivers who earn bonus money – titled the ‘Cash Bowl’ – throughout the 2016 campaign. Any driver who competes in at least one national race and 15 regional races is eligible for the Cash Bowl, which pays $10 per point.

The final night of a national event provides 120 points to win and eight points to start the main event. Regional races deliver 30 points to win and two points to start.

“We’re putting it out there for everybody to get a piece of,” NSL National Director Tommie Estes Jr. said. “Anywhere we have a region I’m trying to put a national event. I’m trying to go after the 85 percent of drivers who don’t have the budget to travel the country.”

For example, if a driver finishes 10th during 15 regional races (nine points per 10th-place result) and 10th during five national finales (36 points per 10th-place result), he or she would garner 315 total points. Multiply that by $10 per point and the Cash Bowl would provide $3,150. The better results a driver earns means more points, which equates to more money from the Cash Bowl. The same applies to the number of races a driver tackles during the season.

There are currently eight national events with two regions each boasting approximately 20 races. Several additional regions and their schedules will be released in the near future.

Additionally, the top five drivers in overall national and regional points at the end of the 2016 season will split more than $50,000 in bonus money with the national champion pocketing $20,000.

Also of note, teams that don’t have the NSL engine gasket and want to race are eligible for the full purse at all national and regional races in 2016.

“There’s no reason anybody can’t run an NSL race,” Estes Jr. said. “To be eligible for the Cash Bowl and the bonus money you must run with a gasket, but anyone with an ASCS legal motor can run our events for the full purse. If you run with the gasket you will get Cash Bowl points.”
