Funtime Promotions and Grays Harbor Raceway through the 'Champions 4 Community Food and Toy Drive' made donations in excess of $2,500 to the Elma High School Food Bowl and the Children's Advocacy Center of Grays Harbor.
The Elma High School has a Food Bowl competition each year to raise money for food to be distributed in the community. The fund raising competition supports local Grays Harbor area families. The Children's Advocacy Center works to protect and provide a safe place for children who have been abused or neglected.
"It's great to be able to do stuff like this, especially during the Christmas season when there are so many families that need a little help." said GHR Operations Manager Bert Johnson, "Being involved in the community is something we have a lot of fun with, so it was an honor being able to make the donations to these causes," he added.
"Giving back to the community is very important to me" said Grays Harbor Raceway Promoter Steve Beitler, "The fans and racers of GHR have been awesome this first year of our 'Champions 4 Community' fundraiser and have helped make Christmas a lot brighter for many families".
