Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Nov. 16, 2015) – Danny Lasoski capitalized on an opportunity to drive for Big Game Motorsports by putting together one of his best seasons in the last decade during the 2015 campaign.
The Muddy backed team captured 13 feature victories, the inaugural FVP National Sprint League title and the Knoxville Raceway track championship.
“It’s been one of the best I’ve had in recent years,” Lasoski said. “Not only has it been a good season, it’s been a fun season. Racing with Guy (Forbrook) and Tod (Quiring) and the team they put together, it’s been a dream come true. We were consistent everywhere we went. It’s really gratifying as a driver when you pull through the gate knowing you have a legit shot to win the race no matter if it was an NSL race, a World of Outlaws race or any type of race.”
Lasoski said his World of Outlaws triumph on June 5 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., where he passed Outlaws champion Donny Schatz in turns three and four during the final lap to claim the win, stands out.
“Every win is so important because you never know when the next one is going to be,” he said. “It was a lot of fun racing with Donny Schatz for the Outlaws win at I-80. That one was a big win.”
That victory marked the 16th season in the last 18 years that Lasoski has registered at least one win with the World of Outlaws.
The Muddy sponsored team also scored a series-best nine trips to Victory Lane en route to an 893-point advantage in the FVP National Sprint League standings during the first season of the Midwest 410ci winged sprint car series.
“Being in the game from the first race was not only a motivator, but it gave me a lot of confidence that Guy and I haven’t missed a beat,” Lasoski said. “It goes to show not one of us has forget what to do. Tod got us a really good engine program with Brian Morrison. That really makes my job easier.”
Additionally, Lasoski captured six triumphs at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where he garnered his record 10th career track title.
“We set some major goals for the 2015 season and we achieved almost all of them,” he said. “It’s been one of the more gratifying seasons I’ve had. We had no issues and no arguments. When you can be successful it makes for a fun year. I really want to thank Guy and Tod for the opportunity as well as Luke Lundt, who manages the team. A big thanks also goes to the guys who work on the crew, all of whom bust their tails to make sure we have a shot at winning every race.”
Lasoski said the Muddy backed team will have a similar schedule in 2016 when the action will begin in Florida next February.
