An evening of survival was the name of the game at the 2015 Short Track Nationals event at I-30 Speedway. Jim would start Heat #1 on a track that was rough, heavy and full of large ruts. With the start of the Heat it was Jack Dover flipping in front of Jim and he avoided the crash. Jim would have to restart in the back of the heat and with little passing finished there. Next up was Qualifier #4 and this time on the start it was Sheldon Haudenschild flipping hard in turn one in front of Jim. On the restart Jim got together with a spinning Brandon Hinkle and Jim tire hoped his left rear shooting Jim up in the air. With little damage Jim was able to finish out the Qualifier but made up little ground. Jim would line up in B Main #2 and this time it was Joe Wood Jr. Flipping in front of Jim and lucky enough missing another destroyed car. At this point it was just putting the car back in the trailer in one piece seemed important. However, the hoping of the wheel in the Qualifier proved to be damaging as the car began a miss in the motor. Jim finished 5th and missed the A Main by 3 positions. The miss in the motor would later prove to be a broken rocker arm in the motor. Day two was rained out and with the motor hurt it is time to call it a season. JBMotorsports would like to thank J&J Auto Racing, Butlerbuilt Seats, Bell Racing Helmets, Krietz Oval Parts, Wings Unlimited and Ronny Howard Racing Engines for all your assistance in 2015.
