Inside Line Promotions – SHAWNEE, Okla. (Oct. 26, 2015) – Seth Bergman is pursuing his first feature victory since the middle of September this week during the 28th annual Comp Cams Short Track Nationals.

Bergman will invade I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., on Wednesday for the Short Track Nationals Open prior to his preliminary night on Thursday. The weekend will conclude with a $15,000-to-win Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour feature on Saturday.

“We are looking to be competitive enough to win,” he said. “Our ultimate goal is to win the Short Track Nationals. That’s where my focus is and all our efforts are pointed toward. I feel like we’ll be one of the cars that has the speed to do it.”

While Bergman has already scored 13 feature wins – his most ever in a season – he is seeking his first career triumph at I-30 Speedway.

“It’s been over a month since we’ve got a win,” he said. “I want to cap the season with a win. There’s no better time to do that than now.”

It won’t be an easy task with a unique race format and more than 80 expected competitors.

“You just have to make the most of your opportunities,” he said. “Part of that is being prepared, making sure your car is ready to go. When you roll onto the race track you know you’re ready and have done everything you can do to that point and let things happen from there.

“There will be 80 cars, but you only have to race the handful that are in your race. We’ll give it our best effort. I feel like lately we’ve just been off a little bit. I haven’t been happy with the way our race car has been rolling around the track. To be off and still racing in the top five is good.”

Bergman has earned four straight top-six results and he has finished in the top six during 13 of the 15 races since the Knoxville Nationals.
