Inside Line Promotions – PORT ROYAL, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2015) – Ryan Smith is excited to announce he has partnered with fellow Pennsylvania Posse driver Brock Zearfoss for the Bad Boy Buggies World of Outlaws World Finals.

Zearfoss will drive a second team car for Smith during the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event Nov. 5-7 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., thanks to the support of Tyler Sigel from East Coast Helicopter Tours.

“As I was growing up in micro sprints Brock and I raced together,” Smith said. “Moose, his dad, supported us a little bit. Brock is a driver like me and I’m in a position where I can help somebody out a little bit. I think he’s a good driver. He’s a hard worker and has a good head on his shoulders. I see him being pretty successful in this deal. We also want to thank Tyler with East Coast Helicopter Tours for helping facilitate this opportunity for a two-car team at the World Finals.”

The relationship between the drivers goes back several years, which was part of the reason Smith offered Zearfoss the opportunity.

“Back in the 600 micro sprint days we traveled together,” he said. “We had the same cars and worked under the same tent so to speak. We helped each other out. He’s got some sprint car experience now and I’ve got some equipment and knowledge. It will make the whole team better.”

Both drivers competed at the World Finals last year with each making one of the two main events.

“We have a pretty good package,” Smith said. “He ran real well last year in Charlotte so I thought it’d be a good deal to bring him in. He didn’t lose his ride or anything like that. It’s going to benefit the whole team. We get double the viewage of sponsors and the whole nine yards there. I think he’s capable to put it up front. It will also give us more feedback at the race track. When you have two heads together you can be ahead of the game.”

Smith is coming off a frustrating outing last Saturday with the World of Outlaws at Port Royal Speedway, where he scored his first career Outlaws triumph one year ago.

Smith qualified 16th quickest in his group, which put him behind the eight ball for the remainder of the night.

“We drew a really high number and were the third-to-last driver to go out,” he said. “That certainly didn’t help us and we didn’t hit the setup just right. It was an uphill battle from there and we just couldn’t overcome it.”

Smith rallied from eighth to sixth place in a heat race, but that was one position shy of locking into the feature. He won the C Main and charged from 15th to sixth place in the Last Chance Showdown to narrowly miss transferring to the main event by only two positions.
