Oklahoma's Josh Marcham dominated the non-wing competition at I-44 Riverside Speedway on Saturday, September 27.
Starting in the 6th slot for his heat race, Marcham quickly diced through the field to finish in the 2nd place position, locking him into the A-main feature race.
Starting 10th in the feature event, Marcham avoided numerous wrecks while battling his way to 5th place within the first five laps of the race. Midway through the feature, Marcham took over the third place spot. After a caution restart late in the race, he charged his way to the top spot, pulling away from the field and continuing on to capture the victory.
"The beginning of the race was crazy," said Marcham. "The track was really rough and there were lots of early wrecks. I watched a car flip and drove right under it. I was glad the race finally got past the first few laps."
Marcham's next appearance will be on October 2-3 during the Pete Frazier Memorial race at Port City Raceway.
Brother Trey Marcham's next race will be October 3 in Hanford, California. He will be wheeling the JFM 73 sprint car. Trey is currently leading the battle for Rookie of the Year honors in the USAC Western Sprint Car Series.
