Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (Oct. 5, 2015) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski was officially crowned champion of the FVP National Sprint League last weekend during the Fearsome 410 Finale doubleheader at I-80 Speedway, which wrapped up the inaugural season for the series.

“My personal gratitude goes to Tod and Lisa Quiring for giving me the opportunity to race with Guy Forbrook,” he said. “We hit on all eight cylinders when we got back together. It was a fun, fun season and that’s half the battle. It was like there was no pressure on us this year and it was fun to race like that. I also want to thank Luke Lundt. He takes care of everything and has done a great job. We couldn’t do it without him.”

Last weekend began on Friday with Lasoski qualifying fourth quickest in the Muddy backed sprint car before he advanced from fifth to fourth place in a heat race. That locked him into the feature redraw, where he pulled the No. 6 during the random draw to line up on the outside of the third row for the main event.

Lasoski maneuvered into the runner-up position and then chased Bryan Clauson for the top spot in the closing laps. With Clauson committed to the top, Lasoski searched the track for an equally fast lane.

“Steve Kosiski does a great job with the track there,” he said. “The top was the preferred lane. There was nothing wrong with the bottom. It was just faster on the top. We just came up one spot short.”

Lasoski’s second-place finish was the Muddy sponsored team’s 40th top five of the season.

The weekend concluded on Saturday at the high-banked track, where Lasoski set quick time during qualifying before charging from sixth to third place in a heat race. That advanced him into the feature redraw for the second straight night and this time he pulled the No. 4 to line up on the outside of the second row for the main event.

“We’ve had trouble in a couple of races when the track gets glass slick,” he said. “Guy is working really hard to rectify that. Sometimes when you take a shot to get better you’re actually worse. We know this going forward and won’t let that happen again.”

Lasoski faded to a 16th-place result, which snapped a streak of 34 consecutive top-10 finishes.

The Muddy backed team will return to competition Nov. 5-7 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the Bad Boy Buggies World of Outlaws World Finals with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
