Inside Line Promotions – SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (Sept. 21, 2015) – Big Game Motorsports and Danny Lasoski scored another top-five finish last Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway during the Clash at the Creek.
The Muddy backed team put together an efficient night that ended with a fourth-place result, which marked the team’s 39th top five of the season and its 33rd consecutive top-10 finish.
“When you have a team that works as hard as our team does, consistency will win races,” he said. “If you can consistently run in the top five and top 10 you’ll get your share of wins. These guys work their tails off.”
Last Saturday began with Lasoski qualifying seventh quickest around the high-banked track. That lined him up on the outside of the front row of a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series heat race, which he won to lock himself into the dash.
“We got the jump on Jacob Allen in the heat and ran around there pretty much wide open,” he said. “We tried some things in the dash and knew we were going in the right direction for the feature.”
A seventh-place finish in the dash lined the Muddy sponsored team up on the inside of the fourth row for the main event.
“At one time we were challenging for second,” he said. “Sometimes the double-file restarts help and sometimes they don’t. I went from running third to falling to fifth. I got hung on the outside and got passed by two cars, but got back up to fourth. I’m not satisfied with it, but as a team we work very hard and I’m proud of the guys.”
Lasoski’s fourth-place result was his ninth top five of the season with the World of Outlaws.
“It was solid, but we’re definitely not happy running fourth,” he said. “To be honest it was a moral victory for our team. In the past couple of races we’ve struggled when the track has got slick. I’m very happy with the leaps and bounds Guy (Forbrook) has made with our car. He put his head to the grindstone and definitely made the car better.”
Last Friday’s World of Outlaws event at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, for the Arnold Motor Supply Shootout was rained out.
Big Game Motorsports will return to action on Oct. 2-3 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the Fearsome 410 Finale with the FVP National Sprint League.
