Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2015) – Brandon Hanks will return to action this weekend for the first time in nearly a month.
Hanks picked up a freshened engine to go in his new David Smith Racing sprint car, which he will take to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the Casey’s General Store Midwest Fall Brawl IV with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this Friday and Saturday.
“It seemed like an offseason,” he said. “That was the longest three weeks I’ve had to wait. I’m just ready to get back. I’m tired of not racing and watching everybody else race.”
This weekend will mark the second trip to I-80 Speedway this season for Hanks, who earned a career-best 10th-place result at the high-banked track in late July.
“I really like that place,” he said. “It was pretty racy the last time I was there. It’s grown on me the last few times I’ve been there. We’ve gotten better there each time we’ve raced.”
Hanks placed 11th and 12th, respectively, during the Midwest Fall Brawl last season.
