PETERSEN MEDIA: Taking on the NSL during the Jackson Nationals as well as at the Huset’s Speedway, Dakota Hendrickson would get better each night, culminating with a ninth place effort at the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night earning him KSE Hard Charger honors.
Having bad luck end his night early on Friday night, Hendrickson would time in 23rd fastest during the Jackson Nationals finale. Having issues in his heat, the Omaha, NE driver would finish in the seventh spot, putting him 14th in the B.
With 12 drivers transferring to the Jackson Nationals A-Main, Hendrickson would work his way forward to finish 10th and put the Lucas Oil/K&N Products/JRI Shocks No. 5h in the big show. Lining up 22nd, Hendrickson was able to move forward on the Jackson Speedway as he would get as high as the 14th spot during the course of the A Main. In the closing laps of the race, Hendrickson would fade a bit, but would still score a 16th place finish.
Heading to the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night to close out his weekend, Hendrickson would take his qualifying lap at the end of the session and end up 20th fastest aboard the NAAKE Suspension/FSR Radiators backed machine.
Finishing seventh in the heat, Hendrickson would line up in the 10th row of the feature event. Getting into a groove once the green flag dropped, Hendrickson was impressive as the laps clicked off.
From the back of the back, the Omaha, NE driver would turn heads as he raced his way up to a ninth place finish, and earned KSE Hard Charger for his efforts.
“It was like we found a sweet spot during the feature on Sunday night,” Hendrickson added. “We will be in good shape for the rest of the season if we can keep that up, and I am very excited for this weekend after that performance.”
The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.
