After an extended absence from a mid-season break in OCRS action, Michael Bookout competed in a double-header weekend. Friday's race was at Outlaw Motor Speedway south of Muskogee with Saturday's event at Longdale Speedway west of Enid.
A special tribute race, the Harold Leep Classic was the featured event at Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday. The field of 32 drivers included five previous OCRS champion representing over 80 career OCRS "A" Feature wins. Bookout earned enough passing points in his heat race to start 10th in the "A" Feature. Racing against stiff competition, Bookout finished the night with a 13th place finish in the Harold Leep Classic. Earlier in the evening, Bookout competed in a special "Dash for Cash" finishing 5th out of ten drivers entered. Fans in attendance for the racing that night included Terry and Kacee of Finish Line Powder Coating (one of the sponsors for Michael Bookout). Finish Line will be moving their service from west Tulsa to the east Tulsa/Catoosa area in the near future. Please check out their website "finishlinepowdercoating.com" for additional information.
The next night, the BiGFooT team headed west to Longdale Speedway and capped the weekend with an 8th place finish in the "A" Feature giving Bookout yet another top 10 finish in an "A" Feature. People in attendance for that night included some of Bookout's youngest fans. Carrington, Taylor, and Wesley were in the stands wearing BiGFooT t-shirts and cheering Michael on as he raced.
The entire BiGFooT Team thanks our sponsors Terry and Kacee of Finish Line Powder Coating for their support and partnership and thanks Carrington, Taylor, and Wesley for their cheers and support.
The next weekend for the OCRS includes another double-header with racing at Flint Creek Speedway and at Caney Valley Speedway. After that only two more events and the 2015 season will be ending.
