TULSA, Okla. (August 31, 2015) Seven nights remain in the 2015 lineup for the ASCS Frontier Region, with three of those nights coming up this weekend with the Montana Roundup at the Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Mont.

Happening Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, the three day affair is a true test of the drivers and crews that compete with the ASCS Frontier Region. One driver looking for continued success in 2015 is current point’s leader, Phil Dietz.

The site of Phil’s first win in a Sprint Car, Dietz commented on the challenge of running a race like the Montana Roundup, and how he felt about the three day event, Dietz replied, “We’re looking forward to it. Great Falls has been one of our better track this year and I think just having your ducks in a row, and having what you need in the trailer is probably the key thing.”

Going into the triple header Dietz carries a commanding 227 point advantage of David Hoiness. Trailing for the first half of the season to J.J. Hickle, who unfortunately saw his season end with a back injury, 2015 has still been a turnaround for the Prevost Racing No. 72 with change coming outside the Montana circuit towards the end of last season.

“Last year when we went to El Paso and Las Cruces, then cut over to Cocopah, we started really focusing on this season and we found a really good package that helped us on where we needed to start this year,” said Dietz about his 2015 season which has a pair of wins so far. “One thing too is we stopped focusing so much on winning races, and more so on just finishing in the top-five and not setting our expectations too high. Obviously we want to win every night, but we also have to have realistic expectations, and this year’s been more consistent than anything.”

While Dietz looks to pad his lead, the race for the runner-up spot is between David Hoiness, who has topped action three times in 2015, and Skylar Gee with the pair separated by 33 markers.

Gee, who picked up his first 360cid Sprint Car victory earlier this year at the Gold Cup in Edmonton, Alb., Can. has been close to victory in 2015 with the ASCS Frontier Region, placing third on June 5 at the Electric City Speedway.

Off a season best runner-up at the Billings Motorsports Park on August 15, Bryan Brown holds fourth with Josh Ostermiller completing the top-five. Despite having missed four nights, J.J. Hickle has only slipped to sixth with Jeremy McCune, Trever Kirkland, Roger Cummings, and Kelly Miller completing the top-ten.

September 4, 5, and 6 at the Electric City Speedway will get underway at 7:30 P.M. (MT) each night and will include IMCA Modifieds with Street Stocks, Super Stocks, and Midwest Mods mixed in throughout the weekend. Tickets are $15 for adults each night with discounts for kids.
