Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Aug. 25, 2015) – Jack Dover is headed to one of his favorite tracks this weekend while in command of the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints championship standings.
Dover owns an 11-point advantage with only five races remaining for the series entering this Friday’s event at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.
“I feel very comfortable and confident rolling into I-80 Speedway,” he said. “Not only do we have a lot of laps at that track, we have a lot of laps leading the field there.”
Dover has won three out of seven races at the high-banked track this year and he has 10 feature wins there since the start of the 2011 season. He also has 21 top fives and 27 top 10s in 31 races the past four-plus seasons at I-80 Speedway.
“It’s a track that is close to home and I have been to many times so that’s always an advantage,” he said. “It gives you a lot of confidence returning to a track where you’ve run well for several years in a row.”
Dover is seeking his 12th win of the season, which would be his 100th feature victory since moving into 360ci sprint cars in 2006.
The Nebraska 360 Sprints event last Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, S.D., was cancelled because of the weather.
