Fast Forward to Wednesday's RacingJunk.com Qualifying Night, and the Bixby, Okla. shoe put his Jeff Gordon throwback / Kick-It No. 16 in Victory Lane just ahead of Donny; collecting a cool $12,000 payday in his 14th career Knoxville Raceway victory.
21 DRIVERS QUALIFY FOR SPEED SPORT WORLD CHALLENGE
Twenty-one drivers made the cut to compete in the 19th Annual SPEED SPORT World Challenge. Last year's winner Daryn Pittman will compete again this year to defend his title, and race for a chance at the $10,000 purse. Tomorrow's World Challenge race begins at 7:15pm.
50th NATIONALS ENTRY FOR GIL SONNER
Legendary car owner and mechanic Gil Sonner of Des Moines was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame this year, and will make his record 50th entry in the FVP Knoxville Nationals. Sonner's first appeared at the track in 1955, and beginning in 1966, he hasn't missed a season since.
