Missouri State Fair is Packed with Motorsports Action

(SEDALIA, Mo.) – The 113th Missouri State Fair gets underway this Thursday and will feature a variety of motorsports action. Tickets to the Pepsi Grandstand series and State Fair Arena events can be purchased at the State Fair Box Office, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 10-12, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 13-23.

This year, the Pepsi Grandstand will feature the High Roller Classic Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car National Tour Series Sunday, Aug. 23. Hot laps will start at6 p.m. with heat races starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for the race are reserve seating only and are $20 for adults, $18 for military and seniors (age 65 and older), $10 for students ages 13-16, $8 for youth ages 8-12 and free for kids ages 7 and under.

“The Lucas Oil ASCS is the nation’s most competitive winged sprint car series,” Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe said. “We are excited to see the first-class competition that this event will bring and welcome all racing fans to the Missouri State Fair.”

Additional exciting motorsports entertainment in the Pepsi Grandstand will be offered including the return of the Missouri Association Championship Truck and Tractor Pull. The qualifying event will be held at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 16, with finals held at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 17.

Tickets for the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. pulls are $12 for adults and $5 for ages 6-12. Tickets for the 7 p.m. pulls are $15 for adults and $6 for ages 6-12. An all-day pass is available at a cost of $20 for adults and $9 for ages 6-12. Both pulls are free for children ages 5 and under.

Tractor pulls will be also offered in the State Fair Arena, including the Antique, Classic and Farm Tractor Pull at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 19; the Garden and Mini Rod Pull at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 20 and the Missouri Stock Antique-Classic Tractor Pullers Association at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 20. Admission to these pulls is free.

Other motorsports action featured at the State Fair Arena will include the Motocross Final Championship Round of the MO Fair Cross Series at 7 p.m.,on Monday, Aug. 17 and the Flat Track TT Race at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Tickets for each event are $7.The Demolition Derby will conclude this year’s State Fair Arena line-up at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 23. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for ages 6-12. All three events are free for children age 5 and under.
