Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (July 21, 2015) – Trey Starks has one goal this weekend during the 26th annual Bob’s Burgers & Brew Summer Nationals.
“I want to win,” he said. “This is a big weekend with a lot of money and prestige on the line so I want to be standing in Victory Lane when it’s all said and done.”
Starks enters the $10,000-to-win event at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., this Friday and Saturday fresh from a weekend off. He is rejuvenated and seeking his first win this season at Skagit Speedway and his fourth victory of the year.
“I’ve won a lot of races at Skagit and I feel like we have a great baseline rolling into that track,” he said. “If we can catch a break or two we should be in contention throughout the weekend.”
Starks has recorded five career triumphs at the high-banked track, including his first career sprint car victory in 2011. This year he has a season best of second place and has garnered four top-10 finishes in seven races there.
“The Summer Nationals is always one of the biggest races in the Northwest and it’d be a great event to add to my résumé,” he said. “We are confident heading into the weekend and that’s always the first hurdle to clear in racing.”
