Countdown to the World Finals: 3 Days

Concord, NC— November 2, 2009—The third annual World of Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is quickly approaching at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, November 5-7. In the 11 days leading up to the three-day action packed season ender, World of Outlaws drivers will share their thoughts on what is quickly becoming one of the “Must See” marquee events of the year.

The next driver up is Jason Sides, who finished second at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway back in May during the Outlaws Showdown at the four-tenths-mile. Last season, Sides, who has competed in each of the first two World Finals, finished fifth in the finale live on SPEED. The 2003 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award winner who hails from Bartlett, Tennessee, has four career Top-10 finishes at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway. He enters the World Finals this season fifth in points on the strength of two A-Feature wins, along with a career-high 46 Top-10 finishes of which 24 are Top-Five performances.

Jason Sides, Driver of the No. 7S Wetherington Tractor Service Maxim:

“It’s definitely an end of the year big event. It’s neat with the format they have and how they do qualifying on Thursday and then the races on Friday and Saturday. It’s neat how everything works out with the late models there, because we hardly ever get to see them. It is turning into a pretty big deal. It would be great to win there especially on the final night, that would help pull through the winter. It would be great for this entire team to get a win.

The finale of the World Finals will air live on SPEED on Saturday, November 7 beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern, with Bobby Gerould on the call and Brad Doty offering expert analysis along with Shane Andrews and Erin Crocker reporting from the pit area.

On Thursday, November 5 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motors Speedway, adult tickets will be $10, with tickets for children 12-under just $5.

On Friday, November 6 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.

On Saturday, November 7 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.
