TULSA, Okla. (July 14, 2015) Taking on a pair of quarter-mile Oklahoma ovals, the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products takes on Creek County Speedway on Friday, July 17 and Lawton Speedway on Saturday, July 18.
Rounds 10 and 11 on the season, Shawn Petersen has positioned himself atop the leaderboard with a 10 point advantage over Joe Wood, Jr. Holding third, Kade Morton trails by a mere 12 markers. Separating themselves from the pack going into this weekend, Mickey Walker looks to make up ground on the top-three with the No. 2 trailing the lead by 80 markers. Kevin Ramey currently sits fifth with Andy Shouse, Brandon Hanks, Alex Sewell, Johnny Herrera, and Jake Martens making up the top-ten.
In nine nights of racing this season, six drivers have topped action with the Red River Region with Johnny Herrera, Tony Bruce, Jr., and Seth Bergman each scoring a pair of wins. Aaron Reutzel, Wayne Johnson, and Blake Hahn each have a single victory to their credit.
Friday, July 17 at the Creek County Speedway gets underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT) with Non-Wing Champ Sprints joining the evening’s lineup. One visit so far in 2015 had Johnny Herrera picking up the evening’s $2,000 payday. More information can be found at http://www.creekcountyspeedway.co.
