[b Schatz Extends Lead in World of Outlaws Championship Standings: Three Races Remain in Battle for 2009 Title]

[i Concord, NC—October 11, 2009]

Donny Schatz used a second-place finish at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park on Saturday night to extend his lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings to 18 markers over Jason Meyers as he chases his fourth consecutive series title. Schatz leads the World of Outlaws with 38 Top-Five finishes and has won 12 times this season. Earlier this season at Lone Star Speedway where the World of Outlaws next compete on October 24, the North Dakota native finished second.

Meyers began the New Yorker 25 at Rolling Wheels by setting fast time in qualifying to earn five bonus points, while Schatz was third fastest to earn three bonus points. Meyers leads the World of Outlaws with 52 Top-10 finishes and has won nine times overall this season, including eight A-Feature events as he chases his first career series title. He finished fourth earlier this season at Lone Star Speedway.

Joey Saldana came all the way from the 24th starting spot on Saturday night to finish ninth to earn the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award. He remains third in points and is now 39 points behind Jason Meyers for second and 57 out of the lead.

Steve Kinser finished third at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park to earn his 27th career Top-10 finishes at the track in the same number of starts. The 20-time series champion is fourth in points on the strength of 47 Top-10 finishes with 30 of those being Top-Fives.

Jason Sides ran eighth on Saturday night to earn his 45th Top-10 finish of the season and remains fifth in points.

The remainder of the Top-10 is Danny Lasoski in sixth, Craig Dollansky in seventh, Kraig Kinser in eighth, Jac Haudenschild in ninth and Lucas Wolfe in 10th.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Saturday, October 24 with the first-ever WoO Fest at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, where the series returned earlier this season for the first time since 2004 with Joey Saldana picking up the win.
