The month of July’s racing festivities at Dodge City Raceway Park kicks off in a big way with this weekend’s “Boothill Showdown”.
The month’s racing activity atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas begins this Friday and Saturday, July 3-4, with the must-see event of the year as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series invades town for the annual “Boothill Showdown”.
Tickets for this weekend’s “Boothill Showdown” are available at the gate or online at https://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=160. Those purchasing a two-day package will receive a free fan pit pass.
While Daryn Pittman tries to defend Boothill Showdown honors after sweeping last year’s double, Donny Schatz tries to add to an already stellar season that includes 18 triumphs in 40 features after winning last night’s event at Kansas City’s Lakeside Speedway.
The King of the Outlaws, Steve Kinser, also saddles up for Dodge City Raceway Park in one of his rare 2015 World of Outlaws starts.
Following a week off after the Boothill Showdown, action resumes on Saturday, July 18, with the Third Annual Modified Stampede. The third edition of the event offers up a $1,200 winner’s share. David Murray topped the inaugural Modified Stampede in 2013 with Brendon Gemmill best in the second go last year.
A busy month of July wraps up six nights later with Driver Appreciation & First Responder night on Friday, July 24. Featuring URSS Sprint Cars along with a full card of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks. Drivers will be allotted tickets to distribute to the event and eligible for all variety of prizes headlined by the grand prize of a Hinchman Racing suit.
