TULSA, Okla. (June 30, 2015) The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region looks to put four nights of racing in the books this Independence Day Weekend with the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour.
Kicking off Thursday, July 2 at the Double X Speedway in California, Mo. drivers have even greater incentive to win. With each night paying $1,776 to win, more race wins means more money. According to ASCS Warrior Region Director, Larry Hol, a driver's second and third A-Feature win will earn them an extra $500 making those two features paying $1776+$500=$2276. If a driver should win their fourth A-Feature event in the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour they will collect $1776+$1500 (paid by Tiger Towing)=$3276.
Valley Park Retirement Living has sponsored the Hard Charger Award for $200 at each night of the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour. The hard charger will be the driver advancing the most from their original starting position to their finish position in the A-Main.
A point fund will also be award after the completion of the final race to the top ten drivers in points over the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour. Points will be accumulated in the same format as an ASCS race. The pill draw will be $20 for the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Series.
Thursday, July 2 at the Double X Speedway will be followed by the Callaway Raceway on Friday, July 3. High banked action on Saturday, July 4 at the Randolph Country Raceway with the series returning to the Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 5.
Other sponsors for the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour include Xtreme Body and Paint, Impact Signs, Putnam Chevrolet, and Midwest Specialty Flooring.
Jonathan Cornell topped the four day Independence Day Weekend blowout in 2014, winning three of the four nights of competition as rain claimed the Saturday portion of last year’s tour. The driver of the VKCC Motorsports No. 28 currently rides second in 2015 tour standings after Austin Alumbaugh put together a pair of wins at U.S. 36 Raceway on June 19 and Double X Speedway on June 21.
Ricky Stangl is currently third with Evan Martin and Kevin Ulmer completing the top-five in tour standings.
Thursday, July 2 and Sunday, July 5 at the Double X Speedway begins at 7:30 P.M. (CT) and includes Micros, Hobby Stocks, and Street Stocks. More information on the Double X Speedway can be found at http://www.xxspeedway.com.
Friday, July 3 at the Callaway Raceway gets underway at 7:30 P.M with A-mods B-Mods, Sportsman, Hornets and Jr. Hornets completing the night’s card. More information on the Callaway Raceway can be found at http://www.callawayraceways.com. The show will also include a Fireworks display.
Saturday, July 4 at the Randolph County Raceway brings in USRA B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Sport 4-cyl., and ULMA Late Models. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 P.M. and will have Fireworks following the night’s races.
