Gravel and Destiny Motorsports Look To Put A Frustrating Week Behind Them

PETERSEN MEDIA: David Gravel is ready to put a frustrating week behind him. Working hard over the last few days with his Destiny Motorsports team, Gravel is anxious to return to action tomorrow night with the World of Outlaws.

“It was just one of those weeks where nothing went our way,” Gravel said. “Everyone worked very hard, and it was a week that everyone wants to forget about as quickly as we can.”

Fortunately for the Destiny Motorsports team, that will be easy to do, as the series comes back to life on Wednesday night at the I96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI in what kicks off another three-race week.

Following a 13th place effort at Granite City Speedway on Wednesday night, Gravel looked to have a good night going aboard the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Benic Enterprises No. 7 machine on Friday night in Grand Forks, ND only to see a flat tire force them to the rear of the field.

Following an 18th place finish in Grand Forks, ND, the team would head to Huron, SD on Saturday night where Gravel would just narrowly miss the heat race inversion and end up in the seventh row of the feature event before finishing in the 15th spot.

“I really have to thank my guys for working so hard last week, and trying to get us better each time we hit the track,” Gravel added. “It was definitely not a lack of effort or preparation that caused our problems. We have been really busy Sunday, and Monday, and I am excited to get to the track Wednesday night and get this team a good finish.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Benic Enterprises, Rick Rogers Construction, Maxim Chassis, Boss Signs and Graphics, Rod End Supply, Driver Websites, Petersen Media, GME Manufacturing, ButlerBuilt, Simpson Race Products, Parker Engines, Keizer Wheels, DMI, Red Devil Brakes, Champion Oil, All Pro Cylinder Heads, Astro Titanium, and Hoosier Tire for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: Destiny Motorsports and David Gravel will return to action Wednesday night at the I 96 Speedway, Friday night at the 34 Raceway, and Saturday night at the Beaver Dam Raceway.
