Freeman Gaining Confidence Since Advancing into A Class Micro Sprint

Inside Line Promotions – CLEVELAND, Texas (June 22, 2015) – Cody Freeman is gaining more comfort and confidence each race since moving up into an A Class micro sprint.

Freeman was on pace for his first top-five finish during only his second race in the class last Saturday at Bronco Raceway Park before he was caught up in a crash.

“We had a top-three car for sure,” he said. “I was more confident in the car this time compared to the first race.”

That showed as Freeman finished second in a heat race, which locked him into the ninth starting position for the main event.

“I fell to 10th and then I realized I needed to get going,” he said. “I started passing people. I was up to sixth and passing for fifth when I hit an infield tire in turn three.”

The impact resulted in a bent frame and front axle along with other damage to the front of the race car. Freeman was unable to resume the race and he was credited with a 20th-place result.

The team will take this weekend off to repair the damage before returning to racing on July 3 at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, and July 4 at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, with the TOWR Series.

Last Friday’s event at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas, rained out.
