TULSA, Okla. (June 16, 2015) The Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment gets back to action on Friday, June 19 at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas followed by Gator Motorplex on Saturday, June 20.
Going into this weekend’s double-header, Scottie McDonald leads the Houston based region of the American Sprint Car Series by a slim 10 markers over Kevin Ramey. With a single win on the season, McDonald has claimed a trio of top-fives’ and five top-tens’ in as many starts. Keeping Ramey in the hunt is equal number of four top-fives’ and top-tens’.
Michael McNeil holds third, 50 points removed from the top of the standings with Ray Allen Kulhanek fourth following his first victory of the season at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Tommy Bryant completes the top-five.
Looking to rebound from an inauspicious start to the 2015 season, defending champion, Channin Tankersley, holds sixth with Caleb Martin, Zane Lawrence, Jacob Lucas, and Larry Howery completing the top-ten.
The Jim Brown Memorial at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park on Friday, June 19 gets underway at 7:45 P.M. (CT) and includes Limited Modifieds, Street Stock, Pure Stock, and Jr. Mini Stocks.
