The 53 of Jack Dover returned to Junction Motor Speedway’s victory lane after dominating Saturday’s sprint car feature.
The Nebraska 360 Sprint Car series combined with the NCRA sprint series for a co-sanctioned event as A&L Sales and Service presented the racing action at McCool.
Dover started on the outside of the front row in Saturday’s 25-lap main event, and early on, Dover and Tyler Drueke traded slide jobs in the first four laps until Dover established the race lead.
Dover ran the middle of the turns at Junction Motor Speedway as the feature went on and only went to the bottom to get around lapped traffic.
The red flag came out with only six laps to go when Ryan Roberts’s car broke. The car turned sharply to the right, and Roberts went straight into the wall at nearly 100 mph. Fortunately, Roberts climbed out of his car and walked away under his own power. Update:6-14-15 Ryan Roberts sustained a broken wrist due to this incident and we wish him a speedy recovery.
While Jack Dover was out in front, C.J. Johnson and Jordan Boston went side-by-side for the fifth spot. The two battled lap after lap putting on the best battle on the racing surface.
After the dust settled, Jack Dover took the checkered flag making it feature win number two for the Springfield, Nebraska driver in the Nebraska 360 Sprint Car Series in 2015. Billy Alley finished second after running second to Dover through most of the race. Cody Ledger beat out Tyler Drueke for third, and C.J. Johnson rounded out the top five.
Then, it was Jordan Boston, Stu Snyder, Jason Danley, Jake Bubak, and NCRA point leader Jeremy Campbell rounding out the top ten.
The next race for the Nebraska 360 sprints will be on Sunday at Dawson County Raceway in Lexington, Nebraska followed by a trip to Butler County Speedway in Rising City, Nebraska the next Friday.
