Saturday night, May 30th, at Cottage Grove Speedway would have a jammed packed crowd for the final night of the 2015 Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic. The 360 Sprints and Late Models would be back in the house while the IMCA Modifieds would be making their only appearance of the weekend.

In the 360 Sprint main event Puyallup, Washington's Trey Starks would obtain the lead on lap one in his Starks Timber Processing/Southstar Equipment Limited/MASCO Petroleum/T&C Concepts #55 J&J. The following lap he would be edged out at the start-finish line by Jared Peterson of Stanwood, Washington. Peterson, in the Roger Henderson owned Cascade Metal Recycling/Island Muffler & Brake/Bailey Brothers Performance Center #7N KPC, would surrender the lead back to Starks on lap six.

Starks would be put under some incredible pressure by Burlington, Washington's Jason Solwold towards the midpoint of the race. Solwold eventually would overtake Starks on lap twenty-three and started to pull away. Solwold would motor away from the rest of the field till some lapped traffic started coming into play in the last few laps. He would, however, have enough of a lead to hold on and put the Mike Anderson owned Shaylene Raye Motorsports/Pops Entertainment/Vic's 66/Parker Racing Engines #18 A.R.T. Into victory lane.

Jared Peterson was second followed by Trey Starks in third. The Scott and Jason Finley owned Finley Farms/CLT Logging/Comfort Inn & Suites of Cottage Grove/Rider Racing Engines #77 Maxim, driven by Kyle Hirst of Chico, California, was fourth and the Kovash Logging/Johansen Excavating/Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation/Factory Kahne Shocks #33V A.R.T. of Enumclaw, Washington's Henry Van Dam was fifth. Chase Goetz, the Snohomish, Washington teenager, and driving his Great Western Transport/Elma Lanes/Speedmart Inc./Sandblasters Inc. #91 Rocket, was the winner of the consolation feature.

In the IMCA Modifieds the Curt Deatherage Auto Electric/Oregon Electric Company #45 S.D.M.F. of Jason Kocks, from Creswell, was the early race leader. He would hold the position until lap six. The driver making the pass was Collen Winebarger of Corbett. Winebarger, in his Discount Race Car Parts/FinishLine Graphics/Elite Chiropractic #SW Shaw by Taylor, was very fast and developed a good size lead that unfortunately would disappear when he would suffer mechanical problems on lap fourteen resulting in him getting into the back stretch wall.

The Superior Fuel Cells/IBEW Local 280/Valley Rose Construction #24 X-Factor, of Curtis Towns, would inherit the position. From there the Cottage Grove native would hold back all challengers to win his first IMCA Modified race of the season.

Springfield's Steven Sturdevant was second in his Springfield Tire Factory/Tan Republic #11 X-Factor followed by the Robert Howell Logging/Scoggins Creek Coffee/Salisbury Farms #1K Loose Gruff of Kinzer Cox from Cottage Grove in third. The balance of the top five would consist of Creswell chauffeur Gus Cooper in the Eastside Rollforming Specialties/Raceprint.com #10 Pro, in fourth, and crossing the fifth was David Schmidt of Eugene in the Herbal Center/EMS Truck Repair/Cindy Sew It/Top Shelf Concentrates #9 D&M.

Finally the Late Model feature would be an exciting one. Eugene's Randy Martin grabbed the lap one lead in his Seth Anderson Racing Engines/Team S.D.M.F. #88M Warrior. Martin would get passed on lap two by Collen Winebarger, doing double duty in his Discount Race Car Parts/FinishLine Graphics/Elite Chiropractic #SW MasterSbilt, and Winebarger would go to work on establishing a big gap between himself and second place..

It would be a lead he unfortunately that he would lose on lap nineteen. Albany teenager Bricen James would get around him and take over the coveted top spot. James, driving the James Gang Pizza/Lebanon Auto Body/Crocker's Cars #13 Swartz, stayed in front the rest of the distance to win his first career Late Model feature.

Eugene's Jesse Williamson, piloting the Jerry Schram owned Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt, was second and crossing the line third the My Boy's Slate Fired Pizza/Taylor Restaurant Equipment #18 MasterSbilt of Blaine Taylor from Pleasant Hill. The Paul Culp owned Superior Fuel Cells/All Pro Steel/Rapid Delivery Service/Superior Silkscreen & Embroidery #42 X-Factor, driven by Curtis Towns, was fourth and Collen Winebarger completing the top five in fifth.
