Paul Nienhiser took on the high banks of I-55 Raceway again May 23rd, this time with the MOWA series. A poor pill draw meant he would start near the rear of his heat race. Starting in 6th, he quickly managed to maneuver the Cam2 Blue Blood Racing Oil machine into 3rd, and after 10 laps of green flag action, he crossed the line in 3rd, just behind the leader. This effort was strong enough to put the 9 in the dash, and after the invert pill was drawn, Paul lined up 3rd. Six laps was the distance, and once again he managed to finish in second, just behind the leader. That effort however would start him front row outside for the night's 25-lap main event. Taking the green flag, Paul and fellow MOWA competitor, Jerrod Hull, found themselves in heavy lapped traffic for the majority of the race. Paul reeled in Jerrod near the halfway point, and after the two of them traded the lead a number of times, Paul set sail to win his second career MOWA A-main, and first of 2015.

This past weekend the team had 3 straight events on schedule. Thursday night's event was an NSL event in Farmington, MO. 41 Stout cars again were on hand, this becoming quite a trend with the NSL. Paul didn't qualify as well as he wanted, timing in 23rd quick. However, the qualifying invert put him on the pole of heat 2. Paul checked out in his heat race, never being challenged for the lead. The feature would be an uphill climb, as his qualifying time would put the 9 car starting 21st on the grid. A grueling 30 laps gave Paul enough time to use every line on the track to be in the top 8 when a caution flew on lap 23. Paul again began to mount a charge at the end of the race, but catching a rut with 3 laps left cost him several positions. He still was the night's hard charger, advancing 10 positions to finish in 11th.

Friday and Saturday's events at Lincoln Speedway and Spoon River Speedway were both cancelled due to rain.

This Friday, the NSL/MOWA "Sprints Gone Wild" rainout event has been rescheduled as a MOWA event at Jacksonville Speedway.
