TULSA, Okla. (May 27, 2015) Round eight on the 2015 season for the ASCS Southwest Region sees the series return to the Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande, Ariz. on Saturday, May 30 with drivers vying for a $1,500 payday thanks to Torco Fuels.
The series second of three scheduled stops at the Arizona oval, the first round of competition served as the Southwest Region’s season opener on February 14 with New Mexico’s Rick Ziehl picking up the win over Lorne Wofford and Billy Chester.
Leading regional standings going into the Saturday affair, Ziehl holds a 63 point advantage over Ryan Linder.
Rebounding from a hard crash as the Arizona Speedway on April 25, the regional return on May 9 went to Bob Ream, Jr., moving the Arizona shoe to third in tour standings; 75 points back from Ziehl and only 12 back from Linder.
Lance Norick currently rides fourth with Joshua Williams completing the top-five.
Albuquerque’s James Mosher is sixth with Kaylene Verville, Casey Buckman, Cody Cambensy, and Alex Pettas completing the top-ten.
