Rain seems to be winning more races than anybody this season! The Martin Motorsports teamed planned to run the Omron Oilfield, Maxim Chassis in 3 consecutive ASCS Gulf South races this week until rain showed up once again. The team made the 3.5 hour haul to Waco, TX where bad luck struck once again. After crashing the 360 ci car on Friday, the team drove back to the shop to prepare the 305 ci car for a Southern United Sprints race in Willis on Saturday night due to the rest of the planned races being rain out! Caleb Martin led wire to wire picking up his first win of the season. "Finally! We got the monkey off our back. It has been one of the toughest starts to a season in my career but we aren't giving up. We keep fixing and working hard to turn this season around."
Caleb Martin is running for the ASCS Gulf South Rookie of the Year this season and currently sits 7th in points with ASCS Gulf South. The team would like to thank their partners Omron Oilfield, Stran Technologies, Simpson Race Products, HRP, and Texan Powder Coat.
