TULSA, Okla. (May 21, 2015) Due to so many ASCS events succumbing to the wrath of Mother Nature this season, the office of the American Sprint Car Series has extended the deadline for driver membership from May 1, 2015 to June 11, 2015.
“Because so many of our drivers turn their paper work into the regional directors, we want to make sure that anyone who is wanting to be run for points fund is able to, and with the weather being what it is, we want to give everyone that chance,” said ASCS Director, Matt Ward about the deadline extension.

Anyone can compete at an ASCS event, regardless of membership, but only current members can compete for point’s fund. Anyone running regionally must complete 70% of a given regional schedule. National Tour members must complete 80% of the season’s scheduled events.
Driver Membership is $150.

Entries can also be faxed to 918-836-5517 or by phone by 918-838-3777. Payment is accepted in the form of check, Visa, or MasterCard. If entering by phone, a credit card is required.
Anyone who competes with the American Sprint Car Series is encouraged to become a member as the membership carries an insurance policy that covers the driver at any ASCS sanctioned event.
Drivers are also highly encouraged to obtain insurance through Short Track Independent Drivers and Associates (S.T.I.D.A.) as this covers a driver at any racing event around the world. Information on S.T.I.D.A. can be found at http://www.ascsracing.com/downloads/get.aspx?i=45950.
