Inside Line Promotions – FORNEY, Texas (May 20, 2015) – Travis Rilat is set to tackle two tracks in different states this weekend.

Rilat will compete on Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., with Richard Saumure before returning home to Texas for Sunday’s ASCS Gulf South Region event at Battleground Speedway in Highlands for the 13th annual Memorial Day Classic.

“Our goal is to win two races,” he said. “I think we are capable of that feat. It will take a great race car and some luck with the draw each night, but that’s what we’re aiming to accomplish.”

Saturday’s John Carroll Classic at Skagit Speedway will mark Rilat’s first race at the 3/10-mile oval since last August. Rilat has earned eight top 10s, including five podium finishes, during 12 races at the track the past two seasons.

“It’s exciting to team back up with the Saumure’s this weekend,” he said. “We have a good baseline at Skagit so it’s always fun to head to a track where you know you’ve had a lot of success.”

Battleground Speedway has been one of the most successful tracks for Rilat, who has won there each of the past three years. He has also secured a pair of podium finishes during two races this season.

“We have a lot of confidence rolling into Battleground,” he said. “If we can have a good heat race to put ourselves into the feature redraw and then get a decent draw I think we’ll have a great shot at winning.”
