Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (May 12, 2015) – Brandon Hanks is heading west for an ASCS Red River Region doubleheader this weekend.
Hanks, who ranks fifth in the region’s championship standings, will compete on Friday at Lubbock Speedway in Lubbock, Texas, and on Saturday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.
“We’re excited to go to both tracks,” he said. “Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate so we can get a couple nights of racing in.”
Hanks hasn’t raced at Lubbock Speedway, but is looking forward to the challenge.
“I love going to new race tracks and testing myself,” he said. “We’ve been working with a new setup the past few races so I’m looking forward to trying that out at a new track as well.”
Hanks competed in a pair of races at Lawton Speedway last year, highlighted by a seventh-place finish in July.
“I didn’t have success right off the bat at that place,” he said. “But the last time I went there I remember having some speed. I look forward to going back, especially since we’ve improved every time we have raced there.”
Hanks had a pair of Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events rained out last weekend.
