Brian Brown – Salina High Banks and Pevely with WoO This Weekend!
(Bill W) April 27, 2015 – Brian Brown and the Casey’s General Stores/FVP #21 team have spent the last two weekends grounded by Mother Nature. They’re hoping to get two shows in this weekend with the World of Outlaws. On Friday, the Salina High Banks in Oklahoma host the WoO. On Saturday, a FVP hospitality event will take place in conjunction with the event at the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri.
You have had some success at Salina before.
We’ve been really, really good there with the 360 in the past. We’ve had a couple of second place finishes. With the 410, we’ve just lacked a balance there. With there not being much racing going on for us, Chad (Morgan), Josh (Hembe) and I have had some time to talk about some of the things we can try there.
It will be a rare event for you to get to race in Oklahoma.
It’s always a great crowd there. We don’t get too many opportunities to race in Oklahoma with the Outlaws. We’d like to go down there, have a good night and start the weekend off right.
On Saturday, you head to Pevely. It’s another high-banked track with a lot of speed.
A lot don’t know it, but Pevely is right there in the top five of my favorite tracks to race at. As far as a race fan, there aren’t too many places in this country that you’ll see better racing when the track is right.
…and you’ve had some success there with the Outlaws the last few years.
We ran second or third there a couple of years ago. We were in the hunt for a top five last year there and got caught up in a wreck. The track kind of fits our style. It actually races more like a big track than a small one.
I know the fact that FVP is hosting customers and employees there that night is important to you as well.
FVP is a huge part of our race team. They’re going to have 150 or so of their customers and employees out there on Saturday night. Our goal is to meet and greet those people, thank them for all they do, and hopefully, we can show them why they support us with a good run.

Brian finished third with the World of Outlaws at Pevely in October of 2012 behind front row starters Jason Sides and Donny Schatz. Kerry Madsen was fourth, and Kraig Kinser was fifth. The event was a makeup from the prior Spring. Brian posted second quick and ran third in the Dash that night.
