Dover Optimistic Entering Nebraska 360 Sprints Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 28, 2015) – Jack Dover likes his chances to put the first mark in the Victory List this weekend when he’ll compete with the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints at a pair of familiar tracks.

Dover will race on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and on Saturday at Butler County Speedway in Rising City, Neb., where he has earned a combined 11 feature victories during the past two seasons.

“We’ve won a lot of races at I-80 and Butler County and I don’t expect anything less this weekend,” he said. “We haven’t been able to race much this season so hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can get in a couple of races at tracks I feel very confident at.”

Dover, whose scheduled race last Saturday in Missouri was rained out, has only competed twice this season and not in the past month. However, there’s nothing like returning to a pair of facilities where he has dominated to get back on track.

Dover powered to two wins at I-80 Speedway last year and four the prior season. He has seven feature victories, 16 top fives and 22 top 10s in 26 races at the high-banked track since the start of the 2011 season.

“I’m very comfortable and confident at I-80 Speedway,” he said. “I have a lot of laps around that track. It’s one of the closest places to my shop so we’ve been able to race there a lot. I have won races riding the cushion against the fence and I’ve won races on the bottom so whatever the track looks like this weekend I know I can win.”

Dover has had similar success at Butler County Speedway, where he’s driven to five feature wins and six podium finishes during seven races the last two seasons.

“We’ve always been really fast whenever we go to that track,” he said. “It’s a big confidence boost whenever you can show up to a track and know you’ve won more races than you’ve lost.”
