Inside Line Promotions – GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (April 19, 2015) – Kevin Swindell will return to one of the first tracks where he raced a sprint car this weekend.

Swindell is set to drive for Brandon Berryman for the first time this Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, for the $20,000-to-win Texas Outlaw Nationals with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. One of Swindell’s first career winged sprint car starts came at the half-mile oval in 2004.

“It’s a different kind of track,” he said. “Turns three and four are really sweeping and turns one and two are almost a u-turn. It’s definitely a place you have to do stuff out of the ordinary.”

Swindell has only competed at Devil’s Bowl Speedway a handful of times in the past decade, including his 410ci sprint car debut there last year with the World of Outlaws. He finished 15th the first night and advanced from 19th to 12th during the finale.

Swindell has earned one top 10, when he rallied from 25th to place 10th at Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, Calif., in two World of Outlaws races this season.

This weekend will also mark the third different sprint car he has piloted this year.

“The first thing is just trying to get acquainted and on the same page,” he said. “Those guys have been there a bunch of times in a 360. I want to win every time I go to the race track, but I think if we can run inside the top 10 on Friday and come back on Saturday and improve it’d be a good weekend.”
