TULSA, Okla. (April 15, 2015) The Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment is set for action this weekend at the Heat O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Friday, April 17 and Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas on Saturday, April 18.
A common pairing of tracks in the Gulf South Region, Blake Hahn and Aaron Reutzel captured wins in the 2014 Spring edition.
While Blake Hahn leads the Gulf South Regional standings, the Oklahoma shoe is slated to compete in Missouri this Saturday night with the National Tour. Already picking up $7,000 against Gulf South Region with the weekend sweep on Mach 27 at Golden Triangle and March 28 at Battleground, another $7,000 is on the line this weekend with Cooper Motorsports and Challenger Drilling paying an extra $1,000 on top of each night’s $3,000 winner’s check.
A pair of podiums at GTRP and Battleground, Tennessee’s Brandon Hanks is currently second in driver standings with Tommy Bryant third. Kevin Ramey holds fourth with five-time Gulf South Champion, Ray Allen Kulhanek, completing the top-five. Only 60 points separate the five drivers.
Friday, April 17 at the Heat O’ Texas Speedway will see gates opening at 6:00 P.M. with races getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). Along with the ASCS Gulf South Region, the night’s card will include IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Stocks Cars, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Minis. Saturday, April 18 at the Gator Motorplex will have action underway at 7:00 P.M. (CT). In addition to the ASCS Gulf South Region, Saturday night will include Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, Limited Modifieds, Junior Sprints, and Jr. Mini Stocks.
