Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (April 14, 2015) – Joe Trenca hopes the third time is the charm.
Trenca is scheduled to compete at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., this Saturday for the third straight weekend. Weather has kept the Mucci Motorsports team from racing at the half-mile oval the past two weekends.
“The weather looks a little better this weekend,” he said. “It’s supposed to be about 70 degrees. It definitely stinks not being able to race yet. You try to make sure everything is ready for the first race and then that happens two times in a row. You’re even more excited now because you know you should have been racing by now.”
Trenca’s goal for the opener is to improve on his last two results at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he powered to a pair of top 10s last season.
“My mindset for everything this year is to aim for wins and be happy with top fives,” he said. “Last year we had speed and it didn’t show in the results. I’m more excited and more determined than I’ve ever been.”
Trenca finished 17th during last year’s season opener at Selinsgrove Speedway.
