Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Place Sixth During National Sprint League Opener

Inside Line Promotions – WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (April 13, 2015) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski continues to rave about the inaugural National Sprint League event last Saturday at 34 Raceway.

“The NSL debut as a series was a total success,” he said. “With Tod (Quiring) putting forward the effort and having the vision and FVP coming on board, it was a huge success. And without the support of the fans it never would have happened. You probably couldn’t have asked for a better debut for a series.”

Lasoski opened the night by setting quick time in his Muddy sponsored sprint car during qualifying out of the 40 competitors.

“Guy (Forbrook) has done his homework,” he said. “He and the guys really put a good piece together. We had a brand new Al Parker engine in it and it has some thunder. Setting quick time was a tribute to the guys and how hard they’ve worked.”

That lined Lasoski up on the outside of the third row of a heat race, which locked the top five finishers into the main event.

“The race track was against the cushion,” he said. “Usually 34 Raceway is way more competitive to race on. The only way to go was to rail the top. In the last few laps I got by a couple of cars to get locked in, but you had to wait for their mistake to be able to pass.”

Lasoski drove the Muddy car to a fourth-place result, which advanced him into the feature redraw. However, he pulled the highest number – eight – during the random redraw to line up on the outside of the fourth row for the 25-lap main event.

“We tightened it up too much,” he said. “When I was behind a car I had no air to my wing. We were really tight and rolled up.”

Lasoski battled just outside the top five throughout most of the race before ending with a sixth-place finish.

Big Game Motorsports is scheduled to compete this Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, during the half-mile track’s season opener. Lasoski is the winningest driver at the facility.

“Knoxville is the very best race track and has the best race crew anywhere,” he said. “They put the cushion on the fence and give you a bottom where you can race. That’s all you ask for.”
