[b Another Lead Change as Sprint Invaders Hit CJ Speedway!]
[i (Bill W) September 1, 2009]
The lead trio in Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders continue to play “Hot Potato” with the top spot in the standings. Just ten points separate leader, Bobby Mincer from the third place driver, Matt Rogerson. Ryan Jamison sits in between them, just seven points behind Mincer.
Last week, it was Rogerson who gained the most ground on the point with his win at the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa. Rogerson’s other win came this season at the CJ Speedway, when he led the majority of the event, topping Joey Moughan and Ben Wagoner at the checkers.
There have been seven different Sprint Invaders winners in the nine races conducted at the CJ Speedway. Joining Rogerson on the list are Jesse Giannetto, who won there three times in 2005, Jerrod Hull (2003), Kerry Madsen (2004), Bobby Hawks (2004), Nick Eastin (2007) and John Schulz (2008).
Trailing the top three in the 2009 points’ race are Jimmy Davies, rookies CJ Houseman and Mike Houseman Jr., Matt Harms, rookie Ben Wagoner, Russ Hall and Justin Parrish. Six races remain on the Sprint Invaders schedule, so odds are, the shuffling will continue!
