Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (April 8, 2015) – Adversity has been the theme during the start of the 2015 season for Jack Dover.

He was sidelined last Friday because of a mechanical issue at I-80 Speedway, where his track record has been outstanding throughout the years.

“I’m tired of these DNFs,” he said. “We need to catch a break or two so we can finish races and earn good finishes.”

Dover opened last weekend by winning his Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints heat race after starting on the outside of the front row.

“Me and Ian Madsen did slide jobs for the first three or four laps,” he said. “I started taking away his line and that kept me in the lead to win it. It was a great start to the night.”

The heat race win lined Dover up on the inside of the second row for the main event.

“I didn’t have the car tight enough and fell back to fifth right on the start,” he said. “We were running sixth and pretty much were biding our time and then had the mechanical issue.”

A mechanical problem forced Dover into the pits early during the main event and he was credited with a 21st-place result.

Dover, who has been running in the top 10 during both races this season when he was forced to the pits early, was unable to compete at I-80 Speedway on Saturday. He will be off this weekend before resuming action on April 18 at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., with the NCRA.
