Sun Prairie, Wis., April 9- A cash bonus of $500 will be awarded to the 2015 Badger 600 Micro Series Rookie of the Year. Car counts and participants continue to increase for the fifth season of micro racing sanctioned by the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association . Past Rookie of the Year winners include: Prestin Benisch (2011), Matt Paderta (2012), defending Series Champion Brandon Sletten (2013), and Zach Boden (2014).
The 18-race series opens Saturday Night May 9 at Beaver Dam Raceway. The event will feature the IRA Bumper to Bumper Sprint Car Series and the track's Grand National and Legends divisions. The series visits Sycamore Speedway on Saturday May 16, before the May 23-24 doubleheader begins racing at Angell Park Speedway.
To be eligible a driver must have no more three micro nights of racing in a season/and or four during their career. The award will be presented at the year-end awards banquet.
