Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (April 7, 2015) – Joe Trenca made a business decision to postpone his season opener last weekend.
Trenca, who was scheduled to open the 2015 campaign last Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., decided not to make the long haul because of poor weather conditions.
“When I woke up it was a whiteout with freezing rain here,” he said. “It’s a five-hour drive to Selinsgrove for us so with a big chance of it getting rained out we didn’t want to risk it. Hopefully the weather will be a little better this weekend.”
Trenca and his Mucci Motorsports team enter the season opener aiming for a podium finish at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he garnered top 10s during his last two appearances in 2014.
“Our team has a lot of confidence that we will have a breakout season,” he said. “Hopefully we can kick it off with a great race to build momentum and then keep the ball rolling.”
