Inside Line Promotions – BARTLETT, Tenn. (April 6, 2015) – Jason Sides will return to action with a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series tripleheader this week.
Sides and his team will tackle Placerville Speedway in Placerville, Calif., on Wednesday for the Placerville Short Track Outlaw Showdown before racing on Saturday and Sunday at Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, Calif., for the Wine Country Outlaw Showdown.
“It was great to spend the off weekend at home last week, but we’re excited to get back to racing,” he said. “We will go from one extreme to another this week so it’ll be a fun challenge.”
The World of Outlaws hasn’t held a race at Placerville Speedway since 1992 and the high-banked, quarter-mile oval features side-by-side racing.
“You’ll have to be up on the wheel and anything can happen in an instant at Placerville,” Sides said. “That track produces nine-second laps so hopefully we can have a clean night that will lead to a good result.”
Sides wraps up the weekend with a doubleheader at Calistoga Speedway, which is a fast, half-mile track. He powered to a World of Outlaws victory in 2011 and is seeking a return to Victory Lane this weekend.
“That is a high-speed track where clean air is critical,” he said. “It’s important to lay down a great qualifying lap, make it through the heat race and put ourselves in the dash so that we’re in contention for the win.”
