As the rain clears, the 2015 season finally kicked off this past weekend for Martin Motorsports! You will see a new look on the new 2014 Omron Oilfield Maxim Chassis this season competing with the ASCS Gulf South Series.
Driver Caleb Martin scored a heat race win and a 6th place finish Friday against a large field of stellar 360 Sprint Cars at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, TX. Saturday night was more complex for the driver after replacing a front end before the heat race and hitting the wall in the A-main dodging flipping cars in the opening laps of the 25 lap feature. Caleb had to pull in after feeling rear end problems after quickly repairing the car under the red. "At first the car felt pretty good. We started dead last on the re-start and passed a few cars. I think the brakes got hot and I could hear something dragging. I made a few more laps and the car was handling terrible. I decided to keep the damage to a minimum and avoid tearing up more and pulled it in the infield."
Next for the team will be the Wren Memorial at Gator Speedway in Willis, TX on April 4th and Bronco Raceway Park on April 11th for two 305 events.
Martin Motorsports would like to thank it's partners Omron Oilfield, Stran Technologies, Texan Powder Coating, Kaedings Performance, and Simpson Race Products for their support.
