Excitement is coming to the Yakima Fairgrounds Dirt Track on Saturday night, April 4th as Nascar Camping World Truck driver Tayler Malsam has confirmed his entry with the Rudeen Racing #26 at the season opener for the Summer Thunder Sprintcar Series presented by Here 2 Wire and Finishline Graphics. Malsam will bring the potent Rudeen Racing #26 KPC Chassis powered by a Shark Racing Engine 360 to the big ½ mile at Yakima for the first time since 2008.
“I’m really excited to run Yakima for the first time in what feels like forever” said Tayler. “We had fun running with the World of Outlaws down in Tulare and it will be fun to race against the locals again. I know crew chief Shane Anderson and Brent will have a fast hot rod for me!”
Malsam made 12 starts with the Nascar Camping World Truck Series in 2014, scoring his career best second place finish on October 18th at Talladega where he led 18 laps. The 26 year old Sammamish, WA native was a two time winner in 410 competition at Skagit Speedway in 2014, winning on the 10th of May and August 2nd at the Ladies Night Out event.
Practice night will be Friday, April 3rd from 5-8pm where fans will be afforded an up close look at the fire breathing 700+ horsepower sprint cars of the Summer Thunder Series, as well as the modifieds of the Washington Modified Tour.
