Inside Line Promotions – FINDLAY, Ohio (March 31, 2015) – Caleb Helms is excited to compete with the new All Star Circuit of Champions this weekend during the Spring Nationals at Attica Raceway Park.
Helms will race on Friday and Saturday at the third-mile oval in Attica, Ohio, where he will make his season debut in his home state after opening the year in February with four races in Florida.
“I’m excited to be racing with the new All Stars and I know they’ll do their best to perfect their product,” he said. “I expect our team to go in there and do well. There will be a lot of great drivers there so making the show alone will be a big deal, but I think a top 10 is a reasonable goal.”
Helms, who was set to compete last weekend in Ohio before his two races were cancelled because of weather, earned a pair of top fives at Attica Raceway Park last season. He finished fourth on June 6 before scoring a third-place result on July 4.
“It’s a very racy, fast place,” he said. “The track can dry out, but this time of year it’s probably going to be pretty heavy most of the night. Something I had to learn by watching the locals is that you think you have to set yourself to go in the corner, but you need to carry your speed a lot. You don’t lift much until it starts to slick off.”
Helms has also recorded a top-10 finish during his first race of the season in Ohio each of the past three years.
